Tabasco is a legendary heirloom pepper variety originally introduced into Louisiana in the late 1800s, and which later became the main ingredient in Tabasco Pepper Sauce. Sturdy, upright plants grow to about 4 feet in height and are covered with small, thin, juicy fruits that ripen from green to orange to red. Flavor is medium-hot and smokey.
