Attractive and aromatic, this upright, creeping plant produces whorls of lilac flowers atop narrow stems lined with bright-green, oval shaped leaves.
Traditionally used to repel pests such as fleas and mice, it is also a main ingredient in many herbal insect repellents.
Leaves give off a sent similar to spearmint when crushed.
Grows to 1 to 2 feet in height and 3 to 6 feet in width.
Self-seeds and grows quickly. Trim back in the winter and enjoy its return come spring!
